STELLAR Kick-off meeting in Ninove, Belgium
The STELLAR Kick-Off Meeting, held on June 17-18, 2025, at AVESTA Holding in Ninove, Belgium, and virtually via MS Teams, marked the beginning of a groundbreaking collaboration in battery technology. The project focuses on the development of sustainable and high-throughput lithium metal anode production for next-generation batteries.
The meeting featured an overview of the STELLAR project’s vision, presented by Dr. Rahul Gopalakrishnan, CEO of AVESTA, highlighting its potential impact on the battery supply chain and sustainability goals. Partners from 7 countries introduced themselves and shared their expertise. The partner consortium includes:

- CIDETEC, Ceit Research Center, and IKERLAN (Spain)
- Belenos Clean Power Holding Ltd and CSEM (Switzerland)

- INOVA+ (Portugal)
The team also discussed the Work Packages (WPs), outlining tasks, deliverables, and milestones from WP2 to WP9, ensuring strong collaboration across all activities.
The meeting also focused on technical discussions, exploring integration strategies for scaling up technology, and communication and dissemination strategies led by INOVA+ to ensure the project’s visibility across Europe. Milestones for the first 18 months (M1-M18) were established, setting clear expectations for progress and deliverables.
